Art and Nell Adkins have operated NTC for over 35 years and have empowered their family to continue the legacy under the same values outlined in the Adkins’ Family Creed.

For the convenience of our West Coast customers, we have a sister corporation, Tempe Tag Inc., owned and operated by the same family.

Company Profile

Norcross Tag Company, Inc. (NTC) is a small family owned business which began operation in 1965 in the basement of a church in Norcross, Georgia, with only one letterpress tag machine. Over the years the company has grown and expanded. In 1990, after twenty-five years, the company finally built their own manufacturing facility.

In 1993, in order to increase the spectrum for the company’s business, the Board of Directors voted to start a sister Corporation, Tempe Tag Inc. (TTI), in Phoenix, Arizona. The main objective of TTI was to primarily supply tags and labels to customers located in the Western part of the United States.

NTC and TTI are wholesale manufacturers of paper tags. Some of our capabilities include computer pinfeed tags, manifold tags up to a 5-part, and pressure sensitive labels. We can insert strings or wires in our manufactured tags as well as attach them to tags supplied by the customer. We have the capabilities to shrink-wrap and construct custom fitted chipboard boxes. Our typeset and plate making department enables us to ensure quality and to process our tag orders more quickly. We produce all types of tags for the specific needs of any industry.

As the close of 2000 approaches, NTC's sales have risen 10% over last year and over the past ten years our sales have tripled. In 1999, we unveiled our Total Quality Management program and have been successful in incorporating a number of internal tracking procedures and organizational plans to better meet the needs of our customers.

Art Adkins owns both companies which employ a total of thirty full time employees. Norcross Tag Company Inc., and Tempe Tag Inc., are unique because of their size and ability to meet the customer’s tag needs. Their continual aim is to satisfy each customer with the personal attention only a family owned business can provide.
